Scope

The Polish Journal of Environmental Studies: Politics, Economy, and Industry serves as a platform for research that intersects environmental science with the broader realms of political, economic, and industrial domains. The journal aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions that address current global and regional environmental challenges.

Key areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

• Environmental Policy and Governance: Analyses of regional, national, and global environmental policies, frameworks, and governance structures. This includes the study of legislative processes, international diplomacy relations, environmental regulations, and their impact on environmental sustainability.
• Environmental Economics: Research on the economic aspects of environmental conservation, including the evaluation of cost-benefit analyses, market mechanisms for sustainability (e.g., carbon trading, green finance, circular economy), and economic drivers of environmental change.
• Industry and Corporate Strategies for Sustainability: Examination of how industries integrate environmental considerations into their business models, supply chains, and strategic planning. Topics may include corporate sustainability initiatives, environmental risk management, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks, and sector-specific policies in industries such as energy, transport, manufacturing, and agriculture.
• Climate Change and Environmental Justice: Investigating the socio-economic implications of climate change, environmental justice issues, and the role of governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and industries in addressing climate-related inequities.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers and case studies, that contribute to the understanding of how political, economic, and industrial factors shape environmental outcomes.
